About The Metro Standard

A directory built for neighborhoods, not algorithms.

Most local directories are the same everywhere — crowded, ad-stuffed, and impossible to trust. We built something different: one directory per neighborhood, one business per category, and real content behind it.

Why this exists

THE PROBLEM

Every neighborhood has the same problem: a dozen directories, none of them curated, all of them selling as many ad slots as they can fit. Residents stop trusting any of them. Good local businesses get buried next to anyone who paid.

THE APPROACH

The Metro Standard limits each category to one business per neighborhood. No pay-to-crowd. When a resident looks for a dentist or a landscaper in their neighborhood, there's exactly one name to find — chosen, not competed for.

THE MISSION

We think a neighborhood shouldn't have to choose between an ad-stuffed directory and no directory at all. Every listing is backed by real automation — review capture, a real profile, a real way to reach the business — not just a name and a phone number.

"We exist so that neighborhoods no longer have to dig through cluttered directories to find a business they can actually trust."

How the network works

Three steps, no installation, no waiting on anyone else's calendar.

01

One directory per neighborhood

Each neighborhood we serve gets its own directory... its own page, its own businesses, its own content.

02

One business per category

21 categories are exclusive, sold to a single business for the year. A handful of categories (restaurants, salons, gyms) hold a small rotating set of spots instead.

03

Real content, not just listings

Every neighborhood has its own blog posts, podcast segments, and newsletter — so the directory stays alive between visits, not just a static page.

Every listing meets the same standard.

Whichever neighborhood or category you're looking at, a claimed listing always includes the same core pieces — so residents know what to expect, and advertisers know what they're building toward.

  • A full Dekk Profile Page with Review Capture and Lead Capture (StarterStakk)

  • Click-to-call

  • A physical Dekk Stand customers can tap or scan in person

Every claimed category gets this same treatment. The photo and business name open your full Dekk Profile — complete photo gallery, full review feed, and lead form. Call Now and Book Online work right from the card, no click-through needed.

More than a directory

Each neighborhood is backed by the same content ecosystem — so it stays worth visiting long after someone's already found what they were looking for.
